En el circuito de Montreal, superó por más de nueve segundos al actual campeón del mundo, Fernando Alonso, de Aston Martin, mientras que el tercer puesto fue para Lewis Hamilton, de Mercedes. Red Bull celebra también su victoria número 100 en la Fórmula Uno.
