Yes, the 2026 Miami Grand Prix weekend offers a full on-track programme, not just Formula 1. Fans at the circuit will also be able to enjoy several support categories across all three days, giving visitors much more racing action between the main F1 sessions.
The strongest international support series will be FIA Formula 2, which is the final step before Formula 1. Many future F1 drivers race in this championship, so it is often one of the highlights of the weekend. Formula 2 features practice, qualifying, a Sprint Race on Saturday and the longer Feature Race on Sunday. It is known for close racing, overtaking and young talents fighting for promotion to Formula 1.
Fans will also see Porsche Carrera Cup North America. This series uses identical Porsche race cars, which usually creates tight and competitive racing with plenty of wheel-to-wheel battles. It is a popular support category in North America and adds another strong motorsport element to the event.
Another category on the schedule is McLaren Trophy America. This championship features McLaren race machinery and gives fans the chance to watch GT-style racing alongside the single-seater categories.
Drivers and team members also attend some parts of the accompanying programme. Our tips on how to meet drivers and how to behave when meeting them can be found here.
Always try to arrive early, especially on Sundays. Expect queues at the arrivals and entrances. The race weekend programme can be found here.
Motorsport is noisy, but earplugs are optional. However, it is recommended to have them with you. If you are going to the circuit with children, always protect their hearing!
